The homogeneous geometries of real hyperbolic space
We describe the holonomy algebras of all canonical connections of homogeneous structures on real hyperbolic spaces in all dimensions. The structural results obtained then lead to a determination of the types, in the sense of Tricerri and Vanhecke, of the corresponding homogeneous tensors. We use our analysis to show that the moduli space of homogeneous structures on real hyperbolic space has tw...
متن کاملThe Moduli Space of Local Homogeneous 3-geometries †
For a canonical formulation of quantum gravity, the superspace of all possible 3-geometries on a Cauchy hypersurface of a 3 + 1-dimensional Lorentzian manifold plays a key role. While in the analogous 2 + 1-dimensional case the superspace of all Riemannian 2-geometries is well known, the structure of the superspace of all Riemannian 3-geometries has not yet been resolved at present. In this pap...
متن کاملHomogeneous Geometries
For the purposes of this paper, a geometry will consist of a set together with a closure operation on that set, satisfying the exchange condition, and under which singletons are closed (for more precise definitions, see §2.1). The geometry is homogeneous if in the automorphism group of the geometry, the pointwise stabilizer of any finitedimensional closed subset of the geometry is transitive on...
متن کاملUniversal Approximator Property of the Space of Hyperbolic Tangent Functions
In this paper, first the space of hyperbolic tangent functions is introduced and then the universal approximator property of this space is proved. In fact, by using this space, any nonlinear continuous function can be uniformly approximated with any degree of accuracy. Also, as an application, this space of functions is utilized to design feedback control for a nonlinear dynamical system.
متن کاملRandom Geometries and Real Space Renormalization Group
A method of " blocking " triangulations that rests on the self-similarity feature of dynamically triangulated random manifolds is proposed and used to define the renormalization group for random geometries. As an illustration, the idea is applied to pure euclidean quantum gravity in 2d. Generalization to more complicated systems and to higher dimensionalities of space-time appears straightforwa...
